Max Mind Zimbabwe is honored “Excellence in Community Empowerment and Social Leadership award”
On November 24, ESG Network Zimbabwe (ESGNZ) hosted the 7th Zimbabwe ESG Report Awards Ceremony at the Harare International Conference Centre. Max Mind received the “Excellence in Community Empowerment and Social Leadership award” of Zimbabwe . ESGNZ is committed to promoting best practices in ESG, providing education on ESG, and fostering a balance between business and non-business organizations in Zimbabwe and other regions. This year's theme was "ESG Champions: Groundbreaking Sustainability," aiming to recognize companies and organizations making a positive impact on their local communities. During the ceremony, Willard Lazzaro, Executive Director of ESGNZ, praised Max Mind's achievements, particularly its investments in healthcare, education, infrastructure development, and community water supply which have significantly improved the living environment of local residents.

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa Inaugurated the Sabi Star Lithium Mine
On August 31st, Emerson Mnangagwa, President of Zimbabwe, led a delegation to visit the Max Mind's Sabi Star lithium mine project, a subsidiary of Chengxin Lithium, to cut the ribbon and officially announce the project's commencement of operation. Vice-President of Zimbabwe Rtd Gen Constantino Chiwenga, Mines and Mining Development Minister Winston Chitando, the chairman of Chengxin Lihtium Zhou Yi and Max Mind general manager Xu Hui attended the ceremony.

Chengxin Lithium Introduces ESG Training for a Carbon-Neutral Future
On August 6, 2023, a special ESG training with the theme "ESG value, benchmarking of advanced industry enterprises, and future prospects" was held at the Chengdu training base. Management from Chengxin Lithium headquarters and its member enterprises, along with heads of functional departments such as safety and environment, production, administration, human resources, and legal affairs participated in the training exchange through online and offline channels. "In our work with partners, we have learned that the main purposes of ESG work are innovation, trend adaptation, tripartite requirements, and regulatory response." Xingong emphasized the strategic value of ESG from the outset. In the long run, as supervision becomes more standardized and strict while mandatory disclosure of ESG for listed companies becomes a general trend. Through transparent ESG information disclosure and key risk identification in reports investors can understand enterprise strategy better; operators can assess existing/potential risks; managers can identify management gaps to improve overall risk control level. In recent years Shengxin Lithium Energy has been improving management compliance construction & social responsibility disclosure while expanding business field. The company formulated ESG plans & controlled related risks achieving certain results promoting enterprise development. With a strategic goal to become a global leader in lithium battery new energy materials Chengxin Lithium focuses on strengthening resource reserves globally & firmly seizes industry opportunities by strictly abiding by relevant host country's laws/regulations during overseas projects making positive contributions to local economic/social development/environmental protection. This training is significant for Chengxin Lithium to fulfill its social responsibility & practice the ESG concept better. Under key directions/dimensions from this training we will open a new chapter in constructing lithium energy's new ESG system creating greater value for promoting ESG practice.

Zimbabwe's Sabi Star Lithium Mine Project Commissioned
On May 7, local time in Zimbabwe, the commissioning ceremony of Sabi Star Lithium Mine Project was ceremoniously opened. Chairman of Shengtun Group, President and Executive Vice President of Shengxin Lithium Energy, Vice President of Shengtun Group, General Manager of Max mind Hong Kong Company, General Manager and Deputy General Manager of Max mind Zimbabwe Company and Deputy General Manager of China Power Construction East South Africa Regional Headquarters and other relevant leaders attended the ceremony.

Wang Jiangping, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Visited Zhiyuan Lithium Industry for an Investigation
On the morning of March 24, Wang Jiangping, member of the Party group and vice minister of the Ministry of industry and information technology, and his party visited Zhiyuan lithium industry to investigate the production and operation of the enterprise. Zhou Wei, chairman of Sheng New Lithium Energy, and Mi Yongqiang, general manager of Zhiyuan Lithium Industry, were warmly received.
