Environmental & Governance
Chengxin Lithium has made carbon emission management a top priority for sustainable development, and established an effective ESG governance framework. By 2023, we completed ISO14064 Greenhouse Gas Verification and ISO14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification for our subsidiaries Zhiyuan Lithium, Suining Chengxin, and Chengwei Lithium. Chengwei Lithium achieved PAS 2060 Carbon Neutrality Verification and established a “Carbon Neutral Factory“. Meeting carbon peaking and neutrality goals is central to our emission management strategy as we actively responds to China’s “Dual Carbon" goals by continuously updating specific reduction pathways based on our actual situation.

ESG Governance Structure
Chengxin Lithium has established an ESG management organization structure and a regular meeting and reporting mechanism, effectively implementing various work items related to ESG information disclosure and management improvement, thus promoting the company's long-term strategic goal of sustainable development.

Chengxin Lithium Initiates Annual Higher Education Scholarship Program
In October, Chengxin Lithium successfully concluded its 2024 annual higher education scholarship initiative—subsidiaries including Zhiyuan Lithium and Suining Chengxin Lithium held successive award ceremonies that empowered young scholars with wings to pursue their aspirations, enabling them to navigate the vast ocean of knowledge and courageously chase their radiant dreams.

Jinchuan Aoyinuo Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chengxin Lithium, received ISO14064 Greenhouse Gas Verification and ISO14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification and Certification from Bureau Veritas France. This recognition underscores Aoyinuo's outstanding performance in efficient resource development and utilization, as well as the company's unwavering commitment to implementing low-carbon environmental protection concepts and striving to create green mining areas.

Safety and Green Practices in Focus : Chengxin Lithium Group's Month of Thematic Activities
With the arrival of June, we ushered in the 23rd National Safety Month and the 51st World Environment Day. To strengthen the foundation of corporate safety culture and respond to the country's advocacy for safety and environmental protection, Chengxin Lithium and its subsidiaries conducted a series of safety month themed activities, "Everyone Talks About Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies, and Smooth the Life Passage," and World Environment Day themed activities, "Promoting the Construction of a Beautiful China in All Directions," to practice the concept of safety and environmental protection in parallel.

"Lithium Dream" Seeds Blossom! Zhiyuan Lithium Celebrated 2024 Children's Day
On the eve of International Children's Day, Chengxin Lithium's subsidiary Zhiyuan Lithium hosted a celebration themed "Seeds of Lithium Dreams Growing" for the children of its employees. The event aimed to nurture children's growth and allowed them to visit the company, gaining firsthand experience in the lithium-ion new energy industry.

Chengxin Lithium recognizes and manages supply chain risks arising from global and regional environmental and market changes as part of our procurement strategy. We aim to build a responsible supply chain network by assessing key suppliers' ESG practices and promoting ESG integration in the supply chain for green, sustainable development.

Preliminary Audit
- Audit the basic information and qualification documents of new suppliers
- Provide trial samples of products from new suppliers
On-site Audit
- As for the suppliers that offer key raw and auxiliary materials, we organize quality procurement and production departments to conduct on-site audit and inspection together
- As for the suppliers that offer non-raw and auxiliary materials, the importance of the materials procured or projects will determine whether qualification reviews or on-site inspection are conducted
Small Batch Validation
- Small batch validation shall be carried out first, and several batches of continuous supply stand as testament to qualified suppliers
Formulate a List of Qualified Suppliers
- By sorting out the procurement data information, collecting the lists of qualified suppliers by category, conducting multi-layer review and multi-factory confirmation , then finally establish a list qualified suppliers
Dynamic Evaluation
- The Supply Chain Management Center and the Quality Managemen Department will conduct regular evaluation of suppliers. The suppliers of raw and auxiliary materials will be evaluated once a quarter, and that of non-raw and auxiliary materials will be evaluated once half a year
- We will evaluate and grade suppliers based on their performance, deciding whether to increase cooperation and increase or decrease orders according to the grading result, and eliminating unqualified suppliers
