In June 2025, subsidiaries of Chengxin Lithium, including Zhiyuan Lithium, Suining Chengxin, and Chengwei Lithium, launched their Safe Production Month and Environment Day activities. From facilities in Sichuan to overseas project bases, a company-wide safety culture initiative unfolded under the theme "Safety Awareness for All, Emergency Preparedness for Everyone." The month-long campaign featured comprehensive safety inspections and emergency drills, reinforcing Chengxin Lithium’s commitment to safe operations and sustainable development.
During the 2025 Safe Production Month, Zhiyuan Lithium deployed a specialized 3M mobile training platform to deliver immersive safety workshops directly on the production floor. Professional trainers were engaged to systematically demonstrate the correct procedures for wearing dust masks, protective suits, and other PPE, emphasizing critical seal integrity checks. Training incorporated simulated emergency scenarios relevant to actual workspaces, equipping employees with practical emergency response skills. Concurrently, the site's 56-member Part-Time Emergency Rescue Team underwent quarterly competency assessments. Drills included timed challenges like "30-Second Donning of Positive Pressure Air Respirators" and "Stretcher-Based Victim Transport," subjecting the team to simulated high-pressure rescue situations. These exercises were designed to hone teamwork and response capabilities under emergency conditions.
To strengthen frontline management, Zhiyuan Lithium conducted training for workshop supervisors on safety regulations. This included a detailed interpretation of China's Work Safety Law, clarifying role-specific safety duties and operational boundaries. The program enhanced safety awareness across all staff and promoted standardized management practices, strengthening the safety foundation at the supervisory level.Additionally, experts from Deyang's Mianzhu Ecological Environment Bureau led an "Environmental Knowledge Seminar" at the facility. The session focused on key regulatory requirements, with in-depth explanations using relevant operational case studies.
On June 4th, Suining Chengxin, in collaboration with Chengjing Lithium and Chengxin Technology, held a tripartite competition on fire rescue skills! The event included simulated exercises such as "50-meter dash rescue while wearing an air respirator with heavy load" and "Quick connection of 100-meter fire hose by two-person teamwork", aiming to enhance the practical fire rescue capabilities of employees. Additionally, the company organized a professional knowledge competition and a green relay race, integrating theoretical learning, fun sports, and production practice in a comprehensive manner.
The green ecological relay race that started with a gunshot incorporated environmental protection concepts into sports competition, with checkpoints such as wastewater purification and solid waste classification set along the way. The knowledge competition particularly included questions related to the dual carbon goals, and case analysis questions were set based on the actual production data of the enterprise. On June 27th, Suining Chengxin held a summary and commendation meeting for the Safety Production Month, systematically reviewing the achievements of the core activities and warmly commending the outstanding teams and individuals who made significant contributions in the activities.
Chengwei Lithium invited professional fire safety instructors to conduct fire safety training sessions for all employees in batches and carried out practical fire evacuation and extinguishing drills, with a focus on enhancing employees' self-rescue and mutual rescue capabilities. During the drills, the command responsibilities of the control room duty personnel in the early stage of a fire were particularly clarified, requiring them to remain calm and make effective judgments and commands in the event of a fire alarm, effectively coordinating emergency communication and personnel evacuation and resettlement. Through clarifying responsibilities and strengthening coordination and cooperation, the fire safety responsibilities at all levels were further solidified.
On June 20th, Chengwei organized a company-wide safety knowledge competition. The competition's question bank covered key areas such as operation norms and personal protection, overflow control and safety facilities, and fire protection systems in depth. The aim was to enable employees to systematically review common risks and safety precautions in production and operation. Through the competition, it aimed to enhance the ability to identify safety risks in equipment production operations and lay a solid foundation for the continuous stability and improvement of the company's safety production situation.
Enhancing the practical ability to deal with emergencies is one of the key qualities that mining operation personnel urgently need to strengthen. Adhering to its core safety concept, Aoyinuo Mining organized a comprehensive emergency drill for the explosives depot this month, focusing on preventing violent terrorism, theft and robbery, and fire prevention and extinguishing. The drill was carried out in a tense and orderly manner, with all departments closely coordinating and responding promptly, strictly following the pre-established emergency response plan. This effectively verified the practicality and operability of the emergency response plan in the mining operation area.
The mine has also continuously deepened the work of safety production hazard investigation and governance. Regularly, professional technicians are organized to conduct a thorough and detailed "fishing net-style" inspection of all areas of the company to accurately identify potential risk points and immediately implement rectification measures, striving to eliminate safety accident hazards in the bud. Aoyinuo Mining has also carefully organized safety publicity and consultation activities to enhance the safety awareness of all employees. At the event site, staff members had face-to-face exchanges and discussions with employees on various safety issues, patiently answered their questions, and distributed practical safety publicity brochures to strengthen the safety hazard awareness of the mine area workers.
As a benchmark for overseas project construction of the company, ChengTok in Indonesia has always placed the intrinsic safety of production facilities and the occupational health protection of employees at the core of its business operations. On the morning of June 7th, the company organized a comprehensive emergency drill for fire and gas leakage at the gas station within the park. At the drill site, personnel from all departments responded promptly and carried out various rescue operations in accordance with the pre-determined emergency plan. The fire-fighting team rushed to the fire scene with professional fire-fighting equipment at the first moment and skillfully operated the fire extinguishing equipment to fully control the spread of the fire.
Meanwhile, the emergency response team quickly located and sealed the gas leakage point to prevent further spread of the gas; the evacuation team orderly guided the on-site personnel to safe areas; the medical team was on standby in a safe zone, ready to provide emergency treatment to the injured. The entire drill was carried out in a tense yet orderly manner. Despite geographical differences, all departments demonstrated high professional standards and seamless coordination. This drill not only effectively tested the emergency response plan but also showcased ChengTok's commitment to safety under complex overseas conditions, adhering to the highest standards and strictest requirements.
In response to the company's Safety Month theme activities, Sabi Star Mine gathered the Chinese and Zimbabwean management teams as well as the management personnel of the mining and stripping project contractors at the mine to conduct a special safety inspection of the mobile mining and stripping equipment. This inspection precisely focused on the key points of safety management in overseas projects, including the implementation of pre-shift safety education on site, the compliance of equipment operators' certificates, the standardization of daily safety checks for vehicles, and the execution of safety operation procedures for equipment. In the face of potential hazards identified during the inspection, the team demonstrated efficient execution, organizing and promoting immediate rectification on site.
On the afternoon of June 10th, the mine management team took another step forward, extending safety management to the level of cultural integration and held a special safety education activity. Chinese and Zambian EHS managers and local employee representatives were deeply involved. Through scenario-based training such as analyzing typical accident cases, safety knowledge was integrated into the specific production environment of the mining area. This not only refined the risk identification and emergency avoidance capabilities of all staff but also established a collaborative mechanism of shared risk and jointly built standards. It effectively promoted the concept of intrinsic safety at the Sabi Star Mine to reach the most front-line operation links such as mining and transportation, injecting cultural cohesion into the construction of a solid safety production line for the Chinese and Zambian teams.
Safety as the base, Green as the wings. Through a threefold approach—systematizing safety responsibility frameworks, honing emergency response capabilities through practical drills, and delivering on long-term environmental commitments—Chengxin Lithium has established a new model for safety governance in 2025. Moving forward, the company will continue to uphold our core philosophy, safeguard the lifeline of safety with the highest standards, continuously inject safety momentum and green vitality into high-quality development, and deeply cultivate the sustainable development of the new energy industry.
