On September 3, 2026, the 4th Zero-Carbon Collaborative Innovation Conference was held in Xinglong Lake, Chengdu Tianfu New Area, under the theme “Zero-Carbon Ecosystem · Collaborative Win-Win.” More than 200 representatives from companies across the lithium battery value chain, research institutions, and standards organizations gathered to discuss key industry topics, including carbon footprint management, ESG development, and sustainable supply chain governance. Chengxin Lithium was invited to attend the conference and became one of the first members of the Sustainable Battery Industry Working Group, joining 22 leading companies across the lithium battery value chain to advance the industry’s green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

At the conference, the Sustainable Battery Industry Working Group, China’s first ESG collaboration platform covering the entire lithium battery value chain, was officially launched under the leadership of Tianqi Lithium. Tianqi Lithium serves as the Working Group’s inaugural rotating chair, while its secretariat is hosted by the China Carbon Accreditation and Accreditation Association (CCAA). In response to evolving global battery regulations, the Working Group will focus on four key areas: alignment with the EU Battery Regulation (EUBR), mutual recognition of Digital Battery Passport data, development of a domestic carbon footprint database, and trusted supply chain traceability and international sustainability communication. Through industry-wide collaboration, the Working Group aims to break down industry barriers, reduce duplicated audits and development efforts, strengthen the global compliance and competitiveness of China’s lithium battery industry, and develop industry guidelines and practical solutions.
As a key player in the lithium resources value chain, Chengxin Lithium has established an integrated business portfolio spanning lithium mining and processing, lithium salts, and lithium metal production. The Company has consistently embedded low-carbon development and ESG compliance into its operations. It continues to advance product carbon footprint accounting, carbon-neutral and green factory initiatives, strengthen sustainable supply chain management, and align proactively with international sustainability standards, including overseas battery regulations and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals, further strengthening its capabilities in green manufacturing.
Chengxin Lithium’s selection as one of the first members of the Sustainable Battery Industry Working Group reflects strong industry recognition of its sustainability initiatives and ESG practices. Going forward, Chengxin Lithium will actively participate in the Working Group’s key initiatives and work with value-chain partners to explore practical approaches to carbon footprint data sharing, responsible supply chain management, and the implementation of green technologies. Together, the Company will help address the challenges of the global green transition of the lithium battery industry, contribute to a safe, transparent and traceable sustainable lithium battery value chain in China, and provide strong industrial momentum for the global transition toward a low-carbon energy future.
