Aoyinuo Mining Receives ISO14064 & ISO14067 Certification from Bureau Veritas France

In August 2024, Jinchuan Aoyinuo Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chengxin Lithium, received ISO14064 Greenhouse Gas Verification and ISO14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification and Certification from Bureau Veritas France. This recognition underscores Aoyinuo's outstanding performance in efficient resource development and utilization, as well as the company's unwavering commitment to implementing low-carbon environmental protection concepts and striving to create green mining areas.
To uphold the concept of green ecological development, Aoyinuo strictly adheres to the ISO14064 and ISO14067 standards, continuously enhancing carbon management capabilities and promoting sustainable development. In its daily mining processes, the company's relevant departments regularly quantify greenhouse gas emissions and removals with precision, compiling greenhouse gas inventories and related reports, which serve as a basis for gradually reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, Aoyinuo continuously monitors the entire lifecycle of its products—from raw material acquisition, production, transportation, usage, to disposal—conducting comprehensive carbon emission quantification assessments. Based on these quantifications, the company continually optimizes its carbon management system.
To prepare for the audit, the company established a cross-departmental working group to advance ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 certification. The group collected data on Aoyinuo Mining's operations and production processes, including energy consumption, material usage, and transportation methods. This data will help Aoyinuo accurately identify emission reduction opportunities in future operations, develop corresponding measures, and enhance energy and material efficiency.
In response to China's 3060 carbon peaking and neutrality goals, Chengxin Lithium's subsidiaries, including Zhiyuan Lithium, Suining Chengxin, and Chengwei Lithium, have completed ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Verification, ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification and Certification, and ISO 50001 Energy Management System Certification. Notably, Chengwei Lithium has achieved PAS 2060 Carbon Neutrality Certification as the group's first "zero-carbon factory." Aoyinuo's completion of ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 certifications establishes a comprehensive verification system for Chengxin Lithium's lithium mine and product bases. The product carbon footprint now encompasses all lithium concentrates, lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, lithium chloride, metallic lithium, and sodium sulfate—laying a solid foundation for the company's "Dual Carbon" strategic goals.
