African Mine-Sabi Star Lithium Mine

The Sabi Star Lithium Tantalum Mine Project is located in the Sabi Star Mining Area in East Mashonaland Province, Zimbabwe. The straight distance from the north west to Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, is 180 kilometers and the road distance is 240 kilometers. The straight distance from the mining area to the nearest port, Beira Port, Mozambique, is about 300km, and the road distance is about 360km. The Sabisin Lithium Tantalum Project has a total of 40 mining licenses for rare metal ore blocks with a total area of 2,637 hectares. Five mining rights blocks have been proven, with an average Li2O grade of 1.98 per cent, and the other 35 mining rights are planned to be explored simultaneously. According to the preliminary plan, the designed raw ore production scale of Sabixing lithium tantalum mine project is 900000 tons/year, equivalent to about 200000 tons of lithium concentrate, which is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2022.
